In support of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable families, The Equity Project incubates ground-breaking collaboratives, human-centered services and cutting-edge best practices. Because representation matters, our staff is racially and ethnically diverse. We are women and men with lived experiences, from different class backgrounds, who live in the communities we serve. Our Director of Programs, a Licensed, Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker, ensures that all services and programs are delivered through a trauma-informed, empathetic lens. All staff are trained in trauma, cultural sensitivity and racial equity.
We firmly believe in equitable representation. In a city and a neighborhood where the majority of residents are black and brown, our staff and board reflect our community. We purchase supplies and services from the community, conduct outreach in Spanish and English, and ensure that all of our resources have affirming language and imagery.
